Job Title: Mental Health Therapist 

Location: Crystal Lake, IL

Salary: $40-$60 an hour

 

Job Summary:

Brighter Life Therapy Group, PLLC  is a small private practice that efficiently responds to the social and emotional needs of the community. We are looking for someone who is willing to grow with an up and coming small private practice and someone that values a small practice. Additionally, we are looking for an experienced clinician with the ability to establish therapeutic relationships with a variety of clients including (which includes varied age ranges), create treatment plans, and collaborate with a clinical team. This position is for a part-time or full-time therapist and requires evening hours. Schedules are flexible and can be either all in person services or a combination of in person and telebehavioral. Schedules can also be made up by the clinician and within the clinician’s own schedule and preference. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct therapy sessions to support clients with mental health challenges.

• Willingness to work with a variety of age ranges, including children.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of each client’s needs.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and therapy sessions in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and medical staff, to ensure holistic care.

• Offer crisis intervention when necessary, and provide referrals for additional support services if needed.

• Attend team meetings, supervision, and continuing education to stay current on mental health best practices.

• Keep up with your own licensure and have one’s own computer. 

 

Schedule:

• Minimum of 15 hours per week.

• Monday to Friday

• Weekends if clinician prefers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

• Valid state licensure (e.g., LCSW, LSW, LPC, LCPC) required.

• 1-3 years of experience in providing mental health therapy is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage clients in a supportive and empathetic manner.

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Knowledge of mental health laws and ethical practices.
